The Marquette Harbor Lighthouse is located on Lake Superior and acts as an active aid to navigation. The lighthouse was built in 1852 and was lit the next year in 1853. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a little girl who has been seen on the upper floor of the lighthouse. The ghostly girl stares out the window looking into the lake. Rumor has it that she likes to stare at the lake when it in a calm state.
