This historic inn is believed to be haunted by more than just one apparition. One being a ghostly face that has been spotted staring into guest rooms from outside the inn, only to disappear when approached. A woman in white has also been seen in the bar area and wandering around the lobby. Another woman's apparition has been seen wearing a dress on the second floor, along with the ghost of a gambler who was said to have committed suicide in his hotel room.

  • Secret Room?

In 1983 at the age of 18 I worked there on nights as clean up. In the main lobby next to the banquet room there use to be an ice machine and behind this ice machine was a door that was blocked. I did pull the ice machine out one day to see where the door went. I remember there were a few steps up and then a room that looked like it hadn’t been touched in a hundred years. There was an old victrolla record player, a bed, and a lot of cob webs. It was like the room had just been sealed away. I have never heard anyone speak of it. I always got the creeps working there at night, especially in the cellar. It always felt like someone was watching me.
