Dumees

The place isn't hauntid it's plum dum. I went there back in 77 an ls the place just isn't what it used to be. Id see spunky specters waltzin up the lane. Thered be chubby funny ghosts, like caspers brother, blothar. Id see a big ol apparition in the mornin and see a teeny dinky phantom at twilight sparkin a splif. There used to be ghosts hangin 10 doing siq drops off the five guys across the street. Now I don't even see them anymore. The only difference is now my shrink gave me antighost seeing medication. That made it a little less distracting you could say but it certainly made for some dull days. I'd get so bored I'd sit in my dorm and ask my roomiez to play Levitatin Larry where you sit cross legged in front of each other and put your fingers underneath ther persons knees and try to flip them without using any shoulder muscle, just forearm strength. It's a test of fingers. Then when you flip them, that dictates who goes first. Whoever goes first acts like a ghost named levitatin Larry and tries to scare the other person. If they can't scare them within 30 minutes it's the other person's turn.

The Haunted Fairchild.

I'm an acting major here at MSU, so I frequent the Fairchild at LEAST once daily. It's always been a pretty spooky place- large, old lights swinging too high for us to reach, strange sounds echoing in the lobby, and seemingly nonsensical architecture with grated-off sections that even faculty don't always know where leads.

While talking to a custodial staff member, he told me that he was glad students were returning to the Auditorium, because it "keeps the ghosts happy."

1981/82 Holmes Hall Elevator

My friend Dave and I lived on 6th East. I pushed the button for the elevator, it came up from the basement. Noone was in it so we got in and I pressed 6. As we were going up, I noticed a man with dirt on his holey clothes. He had no white to his eyes, only blood red. As we neared 6th floor, I said to it 'this isnt your floor'? It said Nuhhh, the elevator doors opened and we were alone!!! We searched everywhere for it to no avail. We were truly freaked out. Our friends could tell we were upset, and we filled them in. One guy pulled out a yearbook and we found it was Dallas Egbert, notorious for his D&D games in the steam tunnels. He was already dead by then.
